Being the typical girl with zero knowledge about vehicles that i am..?

My question is my boyfriend drives a 2009 Chevrolet silverado 1500 LT Texas edition extended cab truck, he's mentioned he would like to be able to do the Bluetooth on his phone and have it sync with his radio. Is his truck capable, is this a feature I need to look into paying for monthly or what are my options here? He does have onstar if that makes a difference.
