Day of the dead candy skull tattoo look stupid if I'm not Mexican?

I've always loved the traditional Mexican art like the day of the dead skulls and day of the dead girls and stuff but I'm half Irish and half Italian, not Mexican at all. Would I look like an idiot with one as a tattoo?
